OOTD - The Autumn Edition

Growing up I was everyone's favourite make over project. In high school it was my choir mates who tweezed my eye brows and helped me do my eye makeup. At university, where I made my first gay pals who were more than happy to make me over, it was skinny jeans and anything that made me look "less frumpy". But the truth is, I love fashion. In particular, dresses. I love a good dress. And now that I live in climate where you need a coat for every season- I love a good coat!

So early on when bloggers were doing OOTD (outfit of the day), I gladly did NOT participate with the anxious fear that I would be judged for it and then become someone else's new make over project. Only this time it wouldn't be in the safety & comfort of school, this would be OUT THERE, in the real world. And like I've said before, the internet can be mean.

So I refrained. But here was the other problem- by not giving myself permission to be a little bit messy, a little bit frumpy, the message I was putting out in the world was that other people weren't allowed to be the same. But if life is going to be perfect, let it be perfectly messy. So now I am learning to embrace the mess, otherwise how will you ever learn to clean it all back up?

Here are some OOTDs from days out in North & West Yorkshire:
